About

I earned a BFA in Fine Arts and an MA in Architecture from the University of New Mexico. My husband and I met at the University in Albuquerque where he was studying Anthropology. As luck would have it, we soon moved to Santa Fe for his job at the Laboratory of Anthropology on Museum Hill. We had the good fortune to live in Santa Fe when it was it was still relatively small and unassuming but nonetheless had a thriving art scene. I showed my work at the Artists Cooperative Gallery located near the plaza, and at Ernesto Mayan’s and Graphics House, two galleries on Canyon Rd.

We moved to Naples, Florida in 2016. The beauty of this coastal region inspired me to pick up my paint brush again to try to capture it. I have shown original paintings on canvas, silk, and ceramics at the Naples Botanical Garden, Bonita Art Center, Rookery Bay Learning Center, and the Naples Art Center. I am currently focusing on creating digital art because it can be printed on a variety of mediums and in multiple sizes. The freedom is staggering, and because prints are involved, the products are affordable.

The community I live in is called Bay Forest. We are located on one of the many bays adjacent to the Gulf of Mexico. Not directly on the Gulf itself, we are buffered from hurricanes by a mangrove forest and freshwater slough. The landscape is a constant source of inspiration for me.
